The Hybrid Authorship System
Copyright law in most jurisdictions requires a human author for a work to receive copyright protection. A purely AI-generated output, on its own, cannot be registered or enforced. SongAcquire solves this through a hybrid model that combines AI generation with verifiable human creative contribution.
Step 1: AI Base Track
The seller uploads an AI-generated demo or idea file (MP3/WAV) produced using tools like Suno, Udio, or similar platforms. This track serves as the compositional foundation.
Step 2: Human Reference Recording
The seller records a live vocal or instrumental performance over the AI track. This video serves as irrefutable proof of human authorship and transforms the work into a copyrightable asset.
Real-World Example: Neon City Lights
A listing like “Neon City Lights” starts as an AI-generated synthwave idea. The seller then records a live synth performance over the track, captured on video. This video is verified by our team and attached to the listing as evidence of human authorship, making the work eligible for copyright registration in the US, EU, and UK.
Identity Verification (KYC)
Every seller on SongAcquire must complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) process before listing assets. This protects buyers from fraud and ensures accountability across the marketplace.
Verification Process
Government ID Upload
Sellers upload a valid Government-issued ID (Passport, Driver License, or National ID) via our secure upload portal. Both front and back images are required.
Liveness Check
A real-time selfie is captured and compared against the uploaded ID using Stripe Identity's biometric matching technology to prevent impersonation.
Stripe Identity Processing
All identity data is processed and verified through Stripe Identity. SongAcquire never stores raw ID images or biometric data on our servers.
Seller Badge Issued
Upon successful verification, the seller receives a "Verified Seller" badge visible on all their listings and profile pages.
Data Security
Government ID data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Processing is handled entirely by Stripe Identity. We only store a verification status flag -- never raw documents or biometrics.
Regulatory Alignment
Our KYC process is designed to comply with applicable US and EU anti-money-laundering regulations and digital marketplace requirements for identity verification of sellers.
Ongoing Monitoring & Enforcement
Compliance does not end at listing. SongAcquire continuously monitors assets through automated content scanning and manual review cycles:
- AI Content Scan: Every submitted asset undergoes an automated check for duplication, plagiarism, and content-policy compliance before going live.
- Video Authenticity Review: Human reference recordings are reviewed by our moderation team to confirm the performance is genuine and matches the audio submission.
- Dispute Resolution: Buyers and sellers can file disputes through the platform. Our internal arbitration process reviews evidence and renders a binding decision.
- Seller Deactivation: Sellers who fail to meet ongoing compliance requirements or receive multiple validated complaints may have their accounts suspended.
